On June 1st, members toured the facility and explored the supportive services that move individuals and families toward self-sufficiency. It was an excellent glimpse into the priorities and successes of this local non-profit.

The evening concluded with dinner and conversation at Garozzo’s Ristorante.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration – May 5, 2016

A large group attended KCALL’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Lathrop & Gage. Lunch was catered by Californo’s to include vegetarian or meaty enchiladas, salad, beans and rice, with a dessert tray.

At noon the business meeting started. It was followed by our round table session about emerging issues in law libraries. Many thanks to Tammy Bearden for leading an engaging discussion.

Book and genre suggestions were collected for our upcoming KCALL Big Read. In October, our member meeting program will include a book discussion with Katie Stover from the Kansas City Public Library.
